From July 23 to 31, 2025, the International Mangrove Center (IMC), in collaboration with the National Forestry and Grassland Administration of China, successfully held a special exhibition during the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP15). The exhibition featured visual displays and video presentations that introduced IMC’s development journey, core mission, strategic goals, key achievements, and future vision.
H.E. President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe, Chinese delegation, visited the exhibition.
The exhibition attracted a wide range of visitors, including delegates from COP15 contracting parties, leaders of international organizations, experts, scholars, and media. Notably, Professor Bao Daming, Director-General of the Interim Secretariat of IMC provided a detailed introduction of the IMC’s vision, mission, ongoing initiatives, and international cooperation efforts of the IMC Exhibition to Dr. Musonda Mumba, Secretary-General of the Ramsar Convention Secretariat and other visitors during the exhibition. H.E. President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe praised IMC’s mission and work, and expressed strong interest in enhancing mangrove conservation efforts across Africa. Dr. Musonda Mumba briefed on IMC’s progress and expressed hopes for deeper collaboration on wetland conservation.

Through this exhibition, IMC showcased its professional expertise and global vision in the field of mangrove conservation. The event served as a valuable platform for direct exchange with governments, international organizations, research institutions, and NGOs, laying a solid foundation for future international cooperation. Looking ahead, IMC will continue to embrace openness and collaboration, working with partners around the world to advance global mangrove conservation efforts and address shared global challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss.
